Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?

I currently offer virtual sessions.

What is your fee?

My rate is $135 per 50 minute session (includes GST). I accept payment via etransfer.

Do you accept insurance?

Coverage may be available if your insurance covers Canadian Certified Counsellors (CCC). I provide a receipt with my CCC number that you can submit for reimbursement if you are eligible. Please contact your insurance provider to verify which service providers are approved under your plan. At this time I do not direct bill.

Are you a Certified Counsellor and what does that mean?

I am currently registered as a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). This means I hold a professional membership with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). To be eligible for registration, counsellors must hold a Masters degree in Counselling or a related field. They must adhere to the CCPA's ethical guidelines and best practices, have completed a supervised practicum, and continue to engage in training and supervision. British Columbia and some other provinces are still unregulated which means it is the client's responsibility to make sure their therapist is adequately qualified. I suggest working with a counsellor at the Master's level with accreditation as either a CCC or RCC as they hold liability insurance and membership in organizations that help to protect you, the client.
